Welcome to Saturnbrook Bullmastiffs. Firstly, I would like say Congratulations on finding the best breed of dog in the world (apart from pugs!) and secondly, should you have just purchased one, or about to purchase one, and would like a Bullmastiff person to talk to or just after a bit of advice, we are only too happy to share our knowledge with you.

We are a small select Kennel.Established 1998. My first Bullmastiff was from Gameguard Kennels situated in NSW. Initially meeting Mr Ernie Sparham through Warmblood horses, here progressed my love of Bullmastiffs. This was before Gameguard's English Imports arrived into Australia.

My first Bullmastiff was a bitch, Gameguard Riverina, a lovely red bitch with a superb temperament, maybe not the best show specimen in the world but all the same a lovely girl. Rhanni was given to me by Ernie to love and enter in the odd show as a fun thing. This is how I met a lovely couple through Ernie, Christine & Don Butler from Bullpower kennels. Through both kennels I gained an enormous amount of knowledge about Bullmastiffs.

Later down the track, after a long wait we purchased BISS. Ch Treebrook River Gum ("Bee") from Barry & Kath Marion. Here, the basis of our kennel was beginning to form. Time passed and we purchased another two from the Treebrook's, Ch Treebrook Red Cedar (Retired) & Treebrook Candle Bark. Concentrating on showing for a while, working & moving to QLD with my now husband Ian, the kennel was a working progress. Along the way we aquired many Class In Groups with all of them. Cedar managing Runner Up In Group and Reserve Ch Dog at one of the Bullmastiff Club Of QLD Specialty Shows ( Judge Mr M Cave). Poppy winning Baby In Shows right through to Junior In Shows and consistently winning Best Fawn. Bee, doing the kennel proud, winning Best In Specialty Show in 2003 under Mr G Sparham (NSW) and always fighting with Poppy over the Best Fawn Sash.

Time passed and we came across Ch Gameguard Moonlitmission from Konda Kennels. Here Kangala Kennels influenced our breeding program. Ch Kangala Elliot Of Ablamor sired two litters with Chewy, producing 23 puppies from both the litters. From the first mating 4 became Australian Champions,1 Indian Champion. Saturnbrook still owns two. Ch Saturnbrook Man In Black & Crème Cracka, Clanbonnie Kennels owns Ch Saturnbrook Black Caruso, Kangala Kennels owns Ch Saturnbrook Triple Treat & Bigboss Kennels in India owns Ch Saturnbrook Tuiti Fruiti. The second litter 3 to date are nearly there, MyDenka Kennels has done extremely well with Saturnbrook Vanilla Moon, Guardville Kennels little brindle girl is nearly a Champion as Saturnbrook Sola Eclipse in Hawaai. BISS Ch Treebrook River Gum had a lovely litter with with Grand Ch Kangala Ziggy producing 5, one still remains with our kennel Ch Saturnbrook Eachway Bet (AI) (Proven Sire of Quality Puppies), pick girl remains with Clanbonnie Kennels whelping 2 lovely litters for them. All of our stock has consistently done well at the last two Nationals with many placing's including Baby In Show & Opposite Minor In Show at the Adelaide Nationals.

Currently we are showing lovely young stock from Grand Champion BISS Kangala Ozzie Osborne, Runner Up In Specialty Show Ch Gameguard Toma Hawk ( Proven Sire of Quality Puppies) and his progeny.

All our breeding stock are hip & elbow scored. We strive for good sound Bullmastiffs' keeping type a priority. Sometimes we have puppies for sale, generally an order is required. We welcome all enquiries or just phone if you would like a chat about Bullmastiffs. All our boys are available to approved ladies.

We like our kids primarily to go to good homes, homes for life, should they be just pets or for the show ring. Look out for our son Riley John around the show ring in 2008, he's sure to turn heads, he's very well bred!! While your visiting have a look at our pet supplies "Country Paws". We also help with re homing Bullmastiff's so if you can help a dog in need of a home or cant keep yours anymore, please contact us.

Happy Bullmastiffs,
Sue, Ian and Riley Hodgetts
